The frosted glass is a real gem of the sea. It begins its journey as broken glass thrown carelessly into the sea. But nature is well done because instead of sending this glass back as is, she does a real work of erosion, of goldsmith, over years to transform the waste glass into nuggets by dint of swell, waves and tossing against the pebbles and rocks.
The glass that has been battered by the swell is no longer a waste product. It has been sublimated, the sharp edges have been rounded, the surfaces softened, it has almost become a semi-precious stone. Its special frosted color cannot be reproduced artificially.
In the store, you will find jewels made of sea glass pieces from all over the world that have been cut into specific shapes by small specialized craftsmen, then frosted again for several days in drums filled with sand to give back the original aspect to the edges made sharp by the cutting.
I am also lucky enough to live by the sea, near a pebble beach, so I collect these little "jewels" that the sea offers us to make jewelry.

Silver is a precious metal like gold, platinum, palladium and rhodium. By definition, true sterling silver must contain 99 to 100% silver. But in the jewelry industry, this is impossible because pure silver is too soft. That's why one or more other metals are added to it, usually copper, which makes it harder, if not impossible, to work with. In the world, the 1st title silver has a minimum content of 92.5% pure silver. This is called 925 silver or Sterling Silver 925 in English. It is therefore the first quality in jewelry.
